LOW CHOLESTEROL APPLE CAKE | |
2/3 c. sugar 1/2 c. packed brown sugar 1/4 c. vegetable oil 3 egg whites 2/3 c. all-purpose flour 2/3 c. whole wheat flour 1/2 c. oat bran 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3 c. apples Powdered sugar Combine sugars, oil and egg whites. Beat until well blended with spoon. Add flours, oat bran, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Stir until moistened. Stir in cut-up apples. Sift powdered sugar over cake after baked, if desired. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Allow to cool. |
