ITALIAN MACARONI AND CHEESE 
1 lb. ground beef
2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
2/3 c. tomato paste
2 tbsp. minced onion
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. oregano
Dash pepper
3 1/3 c. shell macaroni
4 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
2 c. cottage cheese
2 c. shredded cheese

Cook meat in fry pan until it loses its red color but is not brown, drain. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, onion and seasonings. Simmer slow for 30 minutes, stirring as needed.

Preheat oven to 325. Combine cooked macaroni and cottage cheese. Pour a little sauce in the bottom of a large casserole dish. Top with half of the macaroni mix, half of the shredded cheese, and half remaining sauce. Repeat the layer. Top with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 40 minutes or until heated through.
