OLD ENGLISH CARAMEL APPLES 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. half & half
1/2 c. sweet cream butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. chopped pecans (toasted)
3 med. apples

In 2 quart saucepan combine sugars and cornstarch. Stir in half & half, add butter. Cook until full boil (6 to 10 minutes). Boil 1 minute. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Let cool 15 minutes.

Core and chunk apples and place in 6 individual bowls. Pour about 1/3 cup of warm sauce over each serving of apple.

Serves 6 (1 3/4 cup sauce)
