DRIED CORN SOUP 
1 lb. lean boned beef chuck, cut in 1 inch cubes
1 tbsp. bacon drippings or butter
4 c. water
1 c. dried corn or 2 c. fresh corn
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Over high heat, brown meat on all sides in fat. Add water; cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add dried corn, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 1 hour or until both meat and corn are tender. Serves 4.
