MARK'S HOMEMADE VANILLA ICE CREAM | |
2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. flour 8 egg yolks beaten 4 c. milk 3 tbsp. vanilla 2 c. whipping cream 2 c. half and half Blend together sugar, salt and flour. Add beaten egg yolks and milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture coats a spoon. Better to undercook than overcook. Cool custard by setting pan in cold water in sink. When thoroughly cooled, add vanilla, whipping cream and half and half. Pour into ice cream maker container and proceed with directions of individual ice cream maker. |
