SWEET AND SOUR RIBS 
2 lbs. pork ribs, browned in 2 tbsp. fat, cut in serving size pieces
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. salt
1 c. syrup, drained from a 20 oz. can of pineapple
1/3 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/2 c. green pepper strips
1/4 c. thinly sliced onions
Chunks from can of pineapple

Brown pork ribs in fat and add 3/4 cup of water. Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, pineapple syrup, vinegar and soy sauce and add to ribs. Then add green pepper, onions and pineapple. Simmer until vegetables are crisp/tender a few minutes. Serve over rice and/or chow mein noodles.
