SOFT PRETZELS 
1/2 pkg. yeast
3/4 c. warm water
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
2 c. flour

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease cookie sheet. Pour warm water into large bowl. Stir in yeast. Stir in salt, sugar and flour. Knead dough on clean counter. Dough should be slightly sticky. Pull dough apart into 12 pieces. Twist into shapes. Place on cookie sheet. Brush on beaten egg. Lightly sprinkle on coarse salt. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.

EGG BEATEN:

1 egg, beaten
Coarse salt

Knead to work dough with hand in a pressing, folding and turning motion.
