SAUERKRAUT AND CHICKEN 
Heavy pot - cook very slow 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Dredge chicken in flour; brown in butter Crisco.

HEAVY POT:

2 lbs. sauerkraut

Layer sauerkraut on bottom; layer of chicken - continue until pot is full. Add the kraut juice. Add 1 or 2 cups sherry or pork wine. Do not stir while cooking. Add more liquids, if necessary. Serve with mashed potatoes.
