GERMAN CHICKEN 
1 chicken
5 slices bacon
1 qt. sauerkraut
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Cut chicken into pieces. Place in baking dish; drain 1/2 of juice off sauerkraut. Place sauerkraut on top of chicken. Cut bacon into pieces. Place on top of sauerkraut; salt and pepper. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes.
