BUTTER CAKE & BUTTER ICING 
4 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1/2 lb. butter

Beat 10 minutes.

Add:

1 c. milk
2 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Egg whites

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

BUTTER ICING:

5 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk

Boil until thick and cool.

Beat:

1 c. milk
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Then add the flour mixture.
