STOVE TOP BARBEQUE RIBS 
3 lbs. ribs (using either beef short ribs or farmer style pork ribs)
2 tbsp. oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove of garlic or 1 tbsp. minced garlic

Brown ribs adding onion and garlic after ribs are partly brown. When meat is all browned, pour off drippings and add following ingredients to ribs.

1/4 c. vinegar (cider)
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. catsup
1/2 c. water
3 tbsp. A-1 steak sauce
1 tsp. mustard
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 tsp. salt

Cover and simmer 3 hours.
