MOLASSES COOKIES | |
1 1/2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 c. butter (softened) 1/4 c. dark molasses Water 1 c. oat bran cereal 1 c. firmly packed light brown sugar 2 eggs (beaten) 1/4 c. granulated sugar Combine flour, oat bran and baking soda... set aside. In a medium bowl beat brown sugar and butter until creamy. Beat in eggs and molasses until smooth. Stir in flour mixture. Cover and chill 1 hour. Shape dough into 48 (1 1/4 inch) balls; roll in granulated sugar. Place on greased and floured baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Lightly sprinkle dough with water. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until done. Remove from sheets and cool on wire racks. |
