MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. cocoa
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c. flour
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Miniature marshmallows

Melt butter and cocoa together. Remove from heat and stir sugar and beaten eggs. Mix well. Add flour, salt, chopped nuts and vanilla. Mix well. spoon batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows on top of warm cake. Cover with chocolate icing.

CHOCOLATE ICING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box confectioners sugar
1/2 c. pecans, if desired

Melt butter, cocoa, and milk and pour over sugar. Beat and add pecans. Ice cake while hot.
