GERMAN STYLE CHICKEN & NOODLES 
1 (3 lb.) chicken
1 onion, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
1 lg. bay leaf
2 celery stalks
1 (1 lb.) pkg. carrots, cut in strips
Salt & pepper

Cut chicken into serving pieces. Prepare all ingredients for cooking. Put into large pot or Dutch oven. Cover and cook until chicken is tender. Remove chicken from pot and place in casserole to keep warm. Remove vegetables and keep warm. Remove onions and bay leaf, celery and lemon. Cook 2 cups egg noodles in broth. Gravy can be made from broth after noodles are cooked.
