CHICKEN AND RICE CASSEROLE | |
Brown cut up fryer in an electric skillet or suitable pan. Remove chicken from pan. To drippings add 3/4 cup rice, 1 can mushroom soup (Great American preferably), celery leaves (diced or dried), 1 small can pimento, chopped, 2 teaspoon dried onion, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 cup water. Place chicken pieces on top. Cover and simmer until rice is done. Note: In an electric skillet this may be left for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. |
