VEGETABLE BEEF 
1 1/2 lbs. stew beef, cut in chunks
1 c. carrots, chopped
1 c. kernel corn
1 c. string beans
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 c. chopped celery
1 lg. can tomatoes
1 c. diced potatoes
1 tsp. each salt & pepper
1 sm. garlic clove
1 bay leaf

Cook stew beef until nearly done, then add all other ingredients. Continue cooking slowly until done.
