SUNSHINE'S SPONGE CAKE | |
1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond flavoring Rind and juice of 1 lemon 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 8 eggs 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. flour Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Separate eggs. Beat whites to a froth, adding while beating, the cream of tartar a little at a time. In another bowl, mix yolks, rind and juices, sugar and flour until well mixed. Then cut in froth with a knife to yellow batter. Bake 1 hour in ungreased pan. |
