ITALIANO BURGERS 
6 oz. can tomato paste
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. anise seed
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 c. grated Mozzarella cheese
1 lb. ground round or chuck
4 sandwich buns, split

Combine tomato paste, salt, garlic salt, oregano, pepper and anise seed and mix well. Add onion and cheese and mix. Add meat and mix.

Allowing about 1/3 cup meat mixture for each, spread evenly on bun halves.

Place on broiler rack and broil 5" below heat, about 10 minutes or until browned. Serve immediately. Serves 4 to 8.
