VELVAH'S CHICKEN SALAD CASSEROLE | |
2 c. chopped, cooled, boiled chicken 2 c. cooked rice 1 c. diced celery 1 tbsp. finely chopped onion 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 can cream of chicken soup 3/4 c. mayonnaise (NOT Miracle Whip) 1/2 c. (1 pkg.) slivered almonds Saute celery and onion in a little chicken broth until clear. Mix all ingredients and bake in 350 degree oven until hot. Also good when topped with bread crumbs that have been browned in butter. Top with grated cheese. |
