APPLE TWISTS 
2 lg. apples
1 can refrigerated quick crescent rolls
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Peel apples. Remove cores and cut apples into quarters. Cut each quarter into half lengthwise. (you should have 16 apple wedges). Unroll crescent dough. Separate into 8 triangles. Mix sugar and cinnamon in small mixing bowl. Using small spoon, sprinkle cinnamon - sugar mixture evenly over 16 triangles. Place one apple wedge on each triangle of dough. Wrap dough around apple wedge. Squeeze dough together to seal. Place dough-wrapped apple wedges on greased cookie sheet. Be sure oven rack is in center of oven. Place cookie sheet in preheated oven. Bake for 12 to 17 minutes or until dough is brown. Makes 16 apple twists.
