PRUNES AND PANCAKES 
1 lb. prunes
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
3/4 c. flour

Cook prunes until done. Add cornstarch with cold water, enough to thin in a cup. Add sugar to prunes and stir in thickening of cornstarch. Cook until thick. Set aside. For pancakes, beat egg. Add salt, milk and flour. Fry until brown. Alternate pancakes with prunes in a bowl. Can be eaten warm or very good cold.
