ASPARAGUS BAKE 
Fresh asparagus
1 tomato, chopped fine
1 rib celery, chopped fine
1/4 c. onion, chopped fine
1/4 tsp. sweet basil flakes
1/4 tsp. thyme
Salt to taste
1/4 c. butter, melted

TOPPING:

1/4 tbsp. parmesan
1/2 c. fine bread crumbs

Arrange asparagus in a fan or circle in an oven-proof dish with stems to center of dish. Sprinkle a band of the remaining ingredients across the center of the spears. Cover with Saran Wrap and microwave 3 minutes at power level 10 and 4 minutes at powder level 8; rotating dish as it cooks. When cooked, remove plastic and sprinkle with parmesan and bread crumbs. Serves 4.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
