PUMPKIN BREAD 
4 c. sugar
1 c. cooking oil
5 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. of dates, chopped
1 c. nuts
5 c. pumpkin
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. vanilla

4 pound coffee cans greased. Bake upright, covered with aluminum foil, 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 350 degrees. After 45 minutes check every 15 minutes replacing coffee can lids soon as bread is done.
