CELERY SALAD | |
1 lb. celery stalks Water to cover 3 dried mushrooms (shitake) 1 tbsp. dried shrimp 1 1/2 oz. ham 1 sm. round onion 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sesame oil Cut celery stalks crosswise into 2 inch pieces. Then slice each piece lengthwise into 2 or 3 pieces. Fill a pot with water to cover celery. Bring to a boil. Put celery in for 30 seconds. Remove and drain. Arrange on a plate. Soak mushrooms until soft, discard stems, sliver. Soak shrimps in warm water until soft. Mince shrimp, ham and onion. Stir-fry onion in 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat, add shrimp, mushrooms, ham and salt. Cook for an additional minute. Add sesame oil and pour mixture over celery. May be eaten chilled, if desired. |
