ETHEL STEELE'S CREAM CHEESE
POUND CAKE
 
1 1/2 c. butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 pkg. dry topping mix (Dream Whip)
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
3 c. cake flour
1 tbsp. vanilla or 1/2 tbsp. lemon plus 1/2 tbsp. vanilla extract

Cream butter and cream cheese together. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and gradually add flour, beating until smooth. Slowly stir in dry topping mix. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
