5 HOUR BEEF STEW 
2 lb. cubed beef
2 c. carrots, cut up
2 c. celery, cut up
1 onion, coarsely chopped
4 med. potatoes, quartered
1 c. chopped cabbage
2 tsp. salt
Pepper
1 can tomato soup
3 tbsp. sugar
1/2 can water
1 1/2 tsp. flour

Stir together, do not brown meat. Put in covered casserole, buttered. Bake for 5 hours at 250 degrees. Check a few times during baking the last hour, it may need a little more water.
