EASY CROISSANTS | |
5 c. flour 2 pkgs. dry yeast 1/4 c. sugar 2 tsp. salt In a small bowl mix 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt. In a microwave heat the following to 120 to 130 degrees: 3/4 c. evaporated milk 1/4 c. butter Now mix together the two mixtures with 1 egg. Blend at low speed with electric mixer until moist. Beat for three minutes at medium speed and then set aside. Cut together 1 cup butter and 4 cups flour, pour this into yeast mixture until moist. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours. Roll out into 4 circles. Cut the circles into wedges. Roll the big end to narrow end. Brush roll with 1 egg and 1 tablespoon water. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly brown. |
