PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
2 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. smooth peanut butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 lg. eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 2 cookie sheets. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Beat peanut butter, shortening and sugar in mixer bowl at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in milk and vanilla. With mixer at low speed, beat in dry ingredients just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 11 to 13 minutes, until golden. Cool on wire racks. Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
