PEANUT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
2 tbsp. peanut butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. salted Spanish peanuts
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Beat butter, shortening, and peanut butter until fluffy. Add the sugars, egg, vanilla. Sift flour, soda and salt. Add to sugar mix. Beat well until blended. Fold in peanuts and chocolate pieces. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Press with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen.
