BLONDIES 
2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. flaked coconut

Preheat oven to moderate (350 degrees). Grease 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in small bowl to mix well. Reserve.

Beat together butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until well blended. Mix in vanilla. Stir in flour mixture until well blended. Fold in pecans and coconut until well mixed. Spread batter evenly with rubber spatula in prepared pan. Bake in preheated moderate oven (350 degrees), for 35 minutes or until top springs back when light touched with fingertips. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 24 Blondies.
