MISSOURI MUD CAKE | |
1 devils food cake mix 1 1/3 c. coconut 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 lg. jar marshmallow creme ICING: 1/2 c. melted butter 1/4 c. evaporated milk 1 lb. powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped pecans 1 c. coconut Prepare a devils food cake mix according to package directions and add 1 1/3 cups of coconut and 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans to the cake batter. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9"x13" pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. When the cake is done and while it is still warm spread 1 large jar marshmallow creme on top of the cake. To prepare the icing: melt 1/2 cup butter and add the evaporated milk and vanilla. Mix in powdered sugar, pecans and coconut. Frost the cake with the icing when the cake is cool. |
