OLD FASHIONED TEA CAKES 
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. shortening (1/2 butter & 1/2 Crisco)
1/2 c. milk
Pinch of salt
Vanilla, to taste
3-5 c. flour
3 level tsp. baking powder

Cream sugar and shortenings. Add and mix well. Add cups flour (mixed with baking powders) alternately with milk. Add enough flour until stiff enough to roll dough. Roll on floured board. Cut out and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown.
