WHEAT CHOCOLATE PRUNE CAKE | |
2 c. flour 2 tbsp. cocoa 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 c. milk 2 sm. (4 oz.) jars strained baby prunes w/tapioca 2/3 c. raisins 1 c. Zoom or instant rolled wheat Sift all dry ingredients into mixing bowl, including sugar. Add liquid ingredients and mix well. Add instant wheat and raisins. Beat 4 minutes. Pour into two 9 inch round cake pans which have been greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: 1/2 c. melted butter 3 oz. cream cheese Cream well. Add 1 pound confectioners' sugar, sifted, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla. Blend and beat thoroughly. |
