SCOTTISH SHORT BREAD | |
4 sticks unsalted butter 1 c. sugar 4 c. and 1 tbsp. all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt Cream butter and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Knead on floured surface. Press into 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Smooth top and prick at 1/2 inch intervals with fork. Bake in a 275 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours until golden. Or bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden. |
