EGG CUSTARD PIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. flour
Pinch salt
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 (8 or 9-inch) pie shells

Cream sugar, butter and flour. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add milk, vanilla, salt and mix thoroughly. Pour into pie shells. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake 20 minutes longer.
