HUNGARIAN GOULASH | |
1 lb. beef chuck, cut in 1" cubes 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can beef gravy 1 (3 oz.) can broiled sliced mushrooms, undrained 1/4 tsp. dried basil, crushed 1 c. dairy sour cream Coat meat in mixture of 2 tablespoons flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt and dash pepper; brown in 3 tablespoons hot oil; push meat to side of the pan. Add onion and garlic; cook 3 minutes. Add gravy, mushrooms with liquid and basil. Cover; simmer 45 to 50 minutes or until tender. Add sour cream. Serve over hot buttered noodles or rice. Makes 4 servings. |
