MEAT LOAF, ITALIAN STYLE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 med. onion, chopped 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped 2 slices bread, crumbled 3/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. thyme 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. leaf oregano 1/4 c. chopped parsley 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese 2 eggs, beaten In large bowl mix well all ingredients. Yes, it works best to squish it together with your fingers. Pack into foil lined 8"x4"x2" loaf pan. (If you use a 9"x5"x3" pan, use 1 1/2 recipes.) Bake in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes. Pour off drippings and let stand 10 minutes before you slice and serve. |
