BEEF AND CHEESE PIE | |
1 1/4 lbs. ground beef 1/3 c. chopped onion 1/3 c. chopped green pepper 8 oz. can tomato sauce 3 oz. can mushrooms 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Sprinkle of paprika 1 (8 oz.) can crescent dinner rolls 1 egg, slightly beaten 2 c. shredded cheese Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large frying pan brown beef, onion, and pepper. Drain off fat. Stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer while preparing crust. Separate crescent dough into 8 triangles. Place triangles in flat baking dish. Press over bottom and up sides to form crust. Combine egg and 1 cup of cheese. Spread over bottom of crust. Add hot beef mixture to crust. Spread remaining cup cheese on top of mixture. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake for 25 minutes or until crust is brown. Serves 6. |
