VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 c. sliced carrots
1 c. sliced celery
1 c. green peas
1 c. cut string beans
1 c. corn
1 c. macaroni
1 bay leaf
Salt and pepper to taste
1 minced onion
1 c. cubed potatoes
1 c. lima beans
2 lbs. canned tomatoes
4 c. water or beef broth
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. thyme

Place all ingredients in large kettle. Mix well. Bring to boil, then reduce heat. Simmer, covered for 1 1/2 hours.
