ITALIAN-STYLE SLAW 
1 med. head cabbage, shredded very fine
1 med. onion, chopped or sliced
3/4 c. plus 2 tsp. sugar
1 c. cider vinegar
3/4 c. oil
1 tsp. each salt, celery seed and dry mustard

Put cabbage in a large bowl and add onion. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup sugar. Bring to boil vinegar, oil, remaining 2 teaspoons sugar and seasonings; pour over cabbage. Cover and chill 4 to 5 hours. Mix well. Makes 8 servings.
