1/2 c. sliced ripe strawberries
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1 c. unsweetened applesauce

Mash strawberries with sugar. Stir in applesauce; chill. Yield: 1 1/2 cups. Use as Basic Fruit Dip or serve over pancakes, waffles or pound cake.
