APPLE PIE FILLING 
10 c. water
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. cornstarch
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. salt
3 tbsp. lemon juice
5 1/2 to 6 lbs. sliced and peeled apples

Combine dry ingredients in bowl. Stir dry ingredients into 10 cups water and cook until thickened. (10 minutes). Put apples into jars and pour juice over. Seal jars. Process 20 minutes in cold water both.
