1 can apple pie mix
1 pkg. butter pecan cake mix
1 stick butter

Empty contents of can in Pyrex dish. Sift dry cake mix over apples. Cut up butter in small pieces on top of dry cake mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. This can also be made with pineapple or cherry mix.

Optional: Sprinkle nuts over pie mix. Serve hot with whipped topping.
