AUNT ELAINE'S BUTTERSCOTCH
BROWNIES
 
1/4 c. butter, melted & slightly cooled
1 c. light brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour mixed with 1 tsp. baking powder

Stir sugar into cooled butter, quickly add and mix very well, by hand, the salt, egg and vanilla. Stir in until blended (do not beat) flour and baking powder. Spread evenly in a well greased 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Let cool in pan. Cut into squares while still warm in pan. These freeze well.
