OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. packed brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
24 oz. chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey chocolate bar, grated
3 c. chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Process oatmeal 1 cup at a time in blender or Oscar until it turns to powder. Mix together the butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla, flour, oatmeal powder, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Fold in chocolate chips, chocolate bar, and nuts. Shape dough into golf ball-size cookies; bake on ungreased cookie sheets 2 inches apart for 6 minutes. Makes about 9 dozen.
