CINNAMON SNACK CRUNCH | |
1 qt. plus 2 c. Cap'n Crunch cereal 3 c. quaker old fashioned oats 1 c. peanuts, shelled Place cereals and peanuts in large bowl; toss to combine. Set aside. 2/3 c. honey Melt butter and honey over low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Remove from heat. Add cinnamon to honey mixture. Stir to combine. Pour honey mixture over cereal mixture. Toss until cereal is lightly coated. Spread mixture onto greased 18 x 26 inch sheet pan. Bake until lightly browned at 325 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from pan. Serve as snack mix or as topping for ice cream, yogurt, or hot cereal. Store, covered, at room temperature up to 48 hours. Variation: Substitute Quaker Oat Squares for Cap'n Crunch. |
