CARMELITAS 
1 c. plus 3 tbsp. flour
1 c. quick oats, uncooked
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 jar (12.25 oz.) caramel topping
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl, combine 1 cup flour and next five ingredients; beat at low speed until well mixed. Evenly pat into an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, stir caramel topping and remaining 3 tablespoons flour until well mixed. Remove pan from oven; sprinkle on chocolate pieces and walnuts. Drizzle on caramel mixture. Return pan to oven, continue baking 20-25 minutes or until browned. Cool before cutting into bars.
