APPLESAUCE 
6 tart apples
1/2 c. water
3 pieces lemon rind
1/2 c. sugar

Wash 6 apples, quarter, core, and place in saucepan. Add 1/2 cup water and lemon rind. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes or until apples are tender. Run through coarse sieve. Add 1/2 cup sugar. Cook 2 minutes.
