HUNDRED DOLLAR CAKE 
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
2 c. sugar
4 oz. chocolate
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sweet milk
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nutmeats

Cream butter and sugar together. Add melted chocolate and beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add vanilla and nuts and bake in 2 or 3 layers for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

ICING:

Double icing recipe for 3 layers. 2 oz. chocolate 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. lemon juice Pinch of salt 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar (add more if needed until thick enough to spread)

Melt butter and chocolate. Add beaten egg, sugar, salt, and flavorings. Nuts may either be mixed in icing or spread on top.
