DELICIOUS FIG PRESERVES 
2 qts. figs
8 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 lemon, sliced thin

Wash figs thoroughly; remove stems and drain. Place sugar, syrup and lemon in large saucepan over medium heat. Add figs, stirring lightly to coat figs in sugar. Bring to a boil; cook, stirring, for 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat. Remove foam. Spoon into hot sterilized jars; seal while hot. Yield 2 pints.
